I live in OKC with my husband Jim and a very spoiled Italian Greyhound. Art has been my passion since childhood. I can't really consider being self-taught since I've studied with many wonderful and well known artists. I guess you could call it "selective education". Some of the artist I've taken classes and workshops from include Sherri McGraw, Clive Tyler, Dennis Parker, Terry Ludwig, Richard McKinley, Lorenzo Chavez, Dale Martin, Maggie Price and many others.
I show my work at 50 Penn Place Gallery, Shadid Fine Art,The Great Frame Up, and The Gourmet Deli. I also participate in art shows sponsored by various art guilds around the region.
My Artwork is sourced from photo references and plein air sketches. The finished paintings I offer for sale are created in my Oklahoma City studio.
As to subject matter, I am rather eclectic, but the preponderance of my artwork deals with southwestern landscapes, wild-life portraits, and still-life paintings with character.
